Chris Manning

Chris who hails from Inverness in Scotland has been a full time musician, actor and entertainer for over 10 years performing all over the world alongside some incredible musicians in some extraordinary venues.  
He first discovered his love for being on stage when he was cast as the ‘Scarecrow’ in The Wizard of Oz at his High School at the young age of 10 then subsequently going on to play the lead roles in Bugsy Malone, Godspell, Kiss Me Kate and a brand new musical called M.ad Again which won an award in France for Best New Musical of the Year (1997) and performed a sell out run at The Theatre de Cherbourg!

After School Chris turned to acting for 2 years from 1995 -1997 attending Bournemouth and  Poole College studying Drama and Theatre Studies.  Almost immediately after leaving college Chris secured his first professional contract as Principle Lead Male in the Reds Show at the Butlins Family Entertainment Resort in Minehead.  It was here the hard work but good times began, singing and dancing in front of a 7 piece House Band band to over 2 and a half thousand screaming audience members every night of the week in over 15 fully choreographed production shows including, The Gospel Show, Blues Brothers, Boogie Nights, Carnival Experience, That's Music, The Rock Show, The Country Show and many more.

After 2 glorious summer seasons Chris and his fellow performers on stage teamed up and formed a sexy new Boy/Girl 5 Piece Pop Band called Red Alert. Quickly the band was getting noticed and TV Credits included: BBC’s Jane McDonald’s Star For A Night. 
The group performed all over the UK and went on tour with BBC's Otis the Aardvark in Germany as well as supporting headline acts of the time like Atomic Kitten, Blue, Five and even Scooch!

Chris decided to call it a day with the band after an amazing 3 years together and it wasn’t very long before light was to hit Chris in a big way when he made it through to final 10 students on one on the biggest TV Talent shows of it's time BBC’s Fame Academy!

 This experience showcased Chris' performance skills to the nation with over 4 live studio shows at Shepperton to an estimated 10 Million TV audience. After the show Chris performed the Van Morrison classic ‘Brown Eyed Girl’ which Sold over 400,000 copies on the Fame Academy Album (Silver and Gold) and it was a busy time for Chris making numerous TV and Radio Interviews including:
 Chris Moyle’s at BBC Radio ONE, Liquid News,  BBC Choice, CBBC  and many more!

This was quickly followed with the incredible Fame Academy National Arena Tour kicking off  at Aberdeen Exhibition Centre Glasgow and working south throughout the UK hitting, SECC, Belfast Odyssey Arena, Dublin The Point, Cardiff International Arena, Manchester Evening News Arena Birmingham Arena, Nottingham Arena, Newcastle Telewest Arena, Sheffield Hallam FM Arena and of course London Wembley Arena!

Chris continues to perform across the UK as Principle Singer in his 8 Piece Soul Band and has also turned his creative hand to Radio DJ presenting on Deep Blue FM and presenting for his local internet TV station, www.isstv.tv

In last 12 months Chris has also established himself as accomplished screen actor and has taken lead roles in numerous independent films and has recently been offered a role with Stray Dogs Films in Chris' first British feature film I Against I, which is out on national release later this year!
